Privacy policy
Effective 5 July 2026
system-status (status.silinode.in) is an uptime monitoring service. This page explains what data we handle and why, in plain language.
What we collect
Account data: your email address and a hash of your password (we never store the password itself). Monitoring data: the names and URLs of the sites you monitor, optional custom domains for status pages, and the results of our checks — status codes, response times, error messages, incident history, and SSL certificate expiry dates.
How we use it
Only to run the service: checking your sites, showing you results, and emailing you — verification codes, password resets, and alerts when a site goes down, recovers, or an SSL certificate is about to expire. We do not sell or share your data, and we do not send marketing email.
Cookies
One session cookie to keep you logged in. No tracking cookies, no analytics, no ads.
What is public
Each monitor has a public status page (on this site, or on a custom domain you configure) showing the monitor's name, current status, uptime, response-time chart, and incident history. Only publish status pages for sites you are happy to show this for; you can delete a monitor at any time, which removes its status page.
Where data lives
Everything is hosted on AWS in Mumbai (ap-south-1). Email is delivered through Amazon SES. Nightly backups are kept for 7 days. No other third parties handle your data.
Deleting your data
Deleting a monitor removes it and its history from the live database immediately. To delete your account and everything in it, email us and we'll do it within a few days (backups age out within 7 more).
Contact
Questions, deletion requests, anything else: support@silinode.in or rakshitsingh421@gmail.com.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we'll note the new effective date here.
